Latest Update Of The Unscheduled Water Supply Disruption in The Petaling, Hulu Langat, Sepang, Putrajaya & Kuala Langat Region

Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to update on the water supply recovery in 463 areas affected by the shutdown of Sungai Semenyih Water Treatment Plant (Sg. Semenyih WTP) following an odour pollution incident in Sungai Semenyih.

As of 6:00 pm today, the water supply recovery in the 463 affected areas has reached 97.6%. The percentage of water supply recovery status in the affected regions is as follows:

The water supply recovery period differs from one area to another according to the location and distance of consumers’ premise. Water supply in all 463 affected areas is expected to fully recover at 11:30 pm, 17 December 2021. Please refer to Appendix A for the list of areas that have not recovered.

Air Selangor would like to advise consumers who have received the water supply to let the tap runs until the water is clear before using it for daily consumption. Air Selangor hopes that consumers who have received water supply will use their water prudently to ensure that the recovery process in the other affected areas runs smoothly as scheduled.

Alternative water supply assistance will continue to be mobilised to the affected consumers and critical premises during the unscheduled water supply disruption. Air Selangor is seeking the consumers’ cooperation to practise social distancing and wear face masks while collecting the water supply from the water tankers.

Air Selangor will provide updates progressively from time to time through all mediums, especially the mass media. Consumers can also refer to all our official communication channels such as the Air Selangor application, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter or call the Air Selangor Contact Centre at 15300.
