Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) today extended donations to the representatives from Rumah Charis – Home For The Aged, Rumah Charis – Home For The Children, Good Samaritan Home Orphanage and Ampang Welfare Committee in conjuction with the Chinese New Year celebration through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme Sesama Mara.
A total of 155 residents from all four welfare homes received essentialfood donations. School and educational supplies were also given to the children residing in the welfare homes to facilitate with the learning session that has begun.
In addition to the essential daily items and supplies, children from the welfare homes were also very happy to receive ‘angpow’ packages and were treated to a special feast to celebrate Chinese New Year.
To ensure the comfort of senior citizens and children living in these welfare homes, Air Selangor will also inspect the condition of the house’s internal piping system.
Air Selangor hopes that the donations will bring joy to the residents of the welfare home in welcoming the festive season.
The Air Selangor Sesama Mara programme consists of grassroots initiatives that aims to help the surrounding community as well as strengthen Air Selangor’s relationship with stakeholders from various walks of life such as the local community, resident associations, local authorities and NGOs.
