Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to inform on the temporary shutdown of Sungai Semenyih Water Treatment Plant (Sg Semenyih WTP) and Bukit Tampoi Water Treatment Plant (Bukit Tampoi WTP) following the odour pollution incident at the Jenderam Hilir Raw Water Pump Station intake.
Following that, Air Selangor has taken immediate action by lowering all the weir gates at the Jenderam Hilir Raw Water Pump Station intake. This is to ensure all the contaminated materials can be flushed downstream of Sungai Semenyih immediately.
Alternative assistance through water tankers will be mobilised to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres and funerals during the unscheduled water supply disruption.
