Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to update on the water supply recovery status for 472 areas in five (5) Air Selangor regions, namely Petaling (172 areas), Hulu Langat (54 areas), Sepang (196 areas), Putrajaya (23 areas) dan Kuala Langat (27 areas) following the temporary shutdown of the Sungai Semenyih Water Treatment Plant (Sg Semenyih WTP) and Bukit Tampoi Water Treatment Plant (Bukit Tampoi WTP) due to the odour pollution incident at Jenderam Hilir Raw Water Pump Station intake.
As of 6:00 pm, the water supply recovery in the affected areas has reached 95%. The percentage of water supply recovery in the affected regions is as follows:

The duration of the water supply recovery in the affected areas will vary depending on the location and distance of consumers’ premises. Water supply for affected areas due to temporary shutdown of Bukit Tampoi WTP has fully recovered at 12:00 pm, 26 December 2022 (Monday), while water supply for affected areas due to temporary shutdown of Sg Semenyih WTP is expected to fully recover at 6:00 am, 27 December 2022 (Tuesday). Consumers can also obtain the list of affected areas from https://hentitugas.airselangor.com/ as well as the Air Selangor application.
Air Selangor would like to advise consumers who have and will be receiving water supply to let water from the tap to flow until it is clear before daily use. Air Selangor also hopes that consumers who have received the water supply will use water prudently to ensure that the water supply recovery process in the affected areas runs smoothly as scheduled.
