9:30 am

Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to inform of the implementation of emergency repair works due to a pipe burst at Jalan Bukit Cerakah, Bandar Puncak Alam, Kuala Selangor. The implementation of these works will cause an unscheduled water supply disruption in 99 areas in the Klang/Shah Alam and Kuala Selangor regions starting from 9:00 am, 22 May 2023 (Monday). These repair works are expected to be completed at 3:00 am, 23 May 2023 (Tuesday). Water supply will be distributed to consumers in stages when the repair works are completed and the main water supply distribution system has been stabilised. Water supply is expected to fully recover at 9:00 pm, 24 May 2023 (Wednesday).

The emergency repair works involve a main distribution pipe with a diameter of 2,200mm and a large-scale distribution area. Therefore, the repair works and recovery period will require a longer time.

However, if the leak becomes critical, the emergency repair works will begin earlier than the date mentioned earlier.

The duration of this water supply disruption and recovery in the affected areas will vary depending on the location of the consumer’s premises and the water pressure at the distribution system. The list of areas that are affected by the unscheduled water supply disruption is listed in Appendix A.

Air Selangor will be mobilising water tankers to the affected areas by giving priority to critical premises such as hospitals, dialysis centres and funerals.

Air Selangor would like to advise the affected customers to store an adequate water supply and use water prudently during the unscheduled water supply disruption period.

Therefore, Air Selangor would like to advise the affected consumers to keep an adequate water supply and use water prudently during this period of unscheduled water supply disruption.

Consumers can also obtain information on this unscheduled water supply disruption from time to time through our official communication channels such as the Air Selangor application, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter or contact Air Selangor at 15300.
