Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to inform on the water supply disruption due to the reduction in treated water production at the Rantau Panjang, Sungai Selangor Phase 1 (SSP1), Sungai Selangor Phase 2 (SSP2), and Sungai Selangor Phase 3 (SSP3) Water Treatment Plants (WTPs) following the high turbidity of raw water caused by water surge in Sungai Kerling earlier today.
The Rantau Panjang, SSP1, and SSP3 WTPs operations have fully resumed, whereby the production of treated water has normalised. Meanwhile, the SSP2 WTP is expected to return to its normal production levels at 1:00 am on 13 August 2023. Consumers will receive their normal water supply gradually, once the water distribution system has been stabilised.
Following this incident, consumers in six regions of Air Selangor, namely Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, and Kuala Selangor, are experiencing water supply disruption. Please refer to Appendix A for the full list of affected areas.
Alternative assistance through water tankers has been mobilised to the affected areas by giving priority to critical premises. Air Selangor is making every effort to minimise the impact of disruptions on affected users.
Air Selangor will provide updates progressively from time to time through all mediums, especially the mass media. Consumers can refer to all our official communication channels such as the Air Selangor application, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter or call the Air Selangor Contact Centre at 15300. Any questions and complaints can be submitted to the Help Centre on the website www.airselangor.com and Air Selangor application.
