Kuala Lumpur – Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to inform that the pipe diversion and connection works nearby the Carlsberg brewery at Persiaran Selangor Seksyen 15, Shah Alam have been completed at 11:30 pm. The two and a half hours delay was due to the dewatering process of the existing pipes, which took a longer time than expected. This process is crucial to ensure the safety of Air Selangor employees and contractors on-ground while welding the new pipe.
The distribution of water supply to consumers has commenced at 11:35 pm and the recovery process will be in stages. The duration of the disruption and the water supply recovery of the affected areas differ according to the water supply quantity, the distance of consumers’ premises, and the water pressure at the distribution system. Air Selangor will continue to update the water supply recovery status from time to time through all official communication channels.
Consumers who have and will receive their water supply are encouraged to let water from the tap to flow until it is clear before daily use.
