Kuala Lumpur –Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to inform that clean and safe treated water supply has been distributed in stages starting from 5.30 pm to consumers in areas affected by the Sungai Semenyih Water Treatment Plant (Sg. Semenyih WTP) shutdown following the odour pollution incident in Sungai Semenyih.
Currently, Air Selangor is working to stabilise the water supply distribution system to all affected areas. Water supply in all 463 affected areas has started to be distributed in stages and is expected to fully recover at 6.00 am, 6 September 2021. Consumers can also obtain the list of affected areas from https://hentitugas.airselangor.com/ as well as the Air Selangor application.
Air Selangor would like to advise consumers who have received the water supply to let the tap runs until the water is clear before using it for daily consumption. Air Selangor hopes that consumers who have received water supply will use their water prudently to ensure that the recovery process in the other affected areas runs smoothly as scheduled.
A total of 94 water tankers have been mobilised to the affected areas and critical premises during the unscheduled water supply disruption. Air Selangor is seeking the consumers’ cooperation to practice social distancing and wear face masks while collecting the water supply from the water tankers.
