Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to inform on the latest update of recovery status of water supply following the temporary shutdown at Bukit Nanas Water Treatment Plant (Bukit Nanas WTP) due to an increased colouration in the treated water at Bukit Nanas WTP.
As of 6:00 am, the recovery process of water supply and water quality at the distribution level is still being actively implemented and recovery percentage has reached 40%. The recovery process was delayed to ensure that the water quality paramaters adhere to the compliance standards. Please refer to Appendix A for the list of areas that have not recovered.
The duration of water supply recovery period differs depending on the location of the consumer’s premises and the water pressure at the distribution system.
Air Selangor would like to advise consumers who have and will receive their water supply to let the tap runs until the water is clear before using it for daily consumption.
Consumers can obtain information on this unscheduled water supply disruption from time to time through our official communication channels https://waterupdates.airselangor.com/.
