Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to inform of the latest update on the water supply recovery in 998 affected areas in the Petaling, Klang/Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Langat and Kuala Selangor regions following the upgrading and maintenance works for critical assets in Sungai Selangor Phase 1 Water Treatment Plant (SSP1 WTP) on 13 October 2021.
Water supply has been distributed to the consumers in stages starting from 4:00 pm, 14 October 2021. As of 7:00 pm, some areas have received water supply, especially areas near the SSP1 WTP. The duration of the water supply disruption and recovery in the affected areas will vary depending on the distance of consumers’ premises and the water pressure at the distribution system. Water supply is expected to be fully restored at 9:00 pm, 16 October 2021.
Recovery status for affected areas, Public Water Taps and Commercial Water Filling Station can be obtained at hentitugas.airselangor.com.
Air Selangor would like to advise consumers who have and will receive their water supply to let the tap runs until the water is clear before using it for daily consumption. Air Selangor hopes that consumers who have received water supply will use their water prudently to ensure that the recovery process in the other affected areas runs smoothly as scheduled.
