Kuala Lumpur – Following an official statement from Lembaga Urus Air Selangor (LUAS) on the pollution incident detected at the Jenderam Hilir Raw Water Pump Station intake, Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to inform of the temporary shutdown of Sungai Semenyih Water Treatment Plant (Sg. Semenyih WTP) at 6:15am and Bukit Tampoi Water Treatment Plant (Bukit Tampoi WTP) at 11:30am, 3 May 2022.
Following this shutdown of Sg Semenyih WTP and Bukit Tampoi WTP, a total of 472 areas in five (5) Air Selangor regions, namely Petaling (172 areas), Hulu Langat (54 areas), Sepang (196 areas), Putrajaya (23 areas) and Kuala Langat (27 areas) are expected to experience unscheduled water supply disruptions at 3:00pm today. Please refer to Appendix A for the list of areas affected by the unscheduled water supply disruption.
Alternative assistance through water tankers will be mobilised to consumers, with priority given to critical premises. Air Selangor is making all efforts to minimise the impact of disruption on the affected consumers. Consumers in the affected areas are advised to store enough water while waiting for the water supply to fully recover.
