Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to inform on the latest update of recovery status of water supply following the temporary shutdown at Bukit Nanas Water Treatment Plant (Bukit Nanas WTP) due to an increased colouration in the treated water at Bukit Nanas WTP.
As of 9:00 pm, the percentage of water supply recovery in the affected areas has reached 90%. The recovery process is experiencing a delay to ensure that the water quality parameters adhere to the compliance standards. Please refer to Appendix A for the list of areas that have not recovered.
The duration of water supply recovery period differs depending on the location of the consumer’s premises and the water pressure at the distribution system.
Air Selangor would like to advise consumers who have and will receive their water supply to let the tap runs until the water is clear before using it for daily consumption.
Air Selangor will continue to actively mobilise water tankers to the affected areas with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres and funeral service centres.
Consumers can obtain information on this unscheduled water supply disruption from time to time through our official communication channels https://waterupdates.airselangor.com/.
