Status Update On The Water Supply Recovery In Gombak Region

Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to inform that the emergency repair works for the burst pipe incident near the Ampang Point Flyover, Jalan Ampang has been completed at 8:30 pm, 25 September 2021. Following this, we have started to distribute the water supply to the affected areas by the unscheduled water disruption in the Gombak region.

As of 7:00 am, the water supply recovery in the 41 affected areas has reached 34%. Please refer to Appendix A for the list of areas that have not recovered.

The water supply recovery period differs from one area to another according to the location and distance of consumers’ premise. Water supply in all affected areas is expected to fully recover at 10:00 pm, 26 September 2021.

Alternative water supply assistance through water tankers will continue to be mobilised in the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals, dialysis centres and funerals. Consumers are required to adhere to physical distancing and to wear face masks while collecting water supply from the water tankers

Air Selangor would like to advise consumers who have and will receive their water supply to let the tap runs until the water is clear before using it for daily consumption. Air Selangor hopes that consumers who have received water supply will use their water prudently to ensure that the recovery process in the other affected areas runs smoothly as scheduled.
