Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to inform of an incident involving a decrease in water level at a reservoir in Sime UEP, USJ. This is due to a technical problem of an air lock issue on the main distribution pipe that supplies water to the reservoir at Sime UEP in Kg. Kenangan, Puchong.
Following that, consumers in USJ 1 to USJ 27 areas in the Petaling region are experiencing a water supply disruption and low water pressure. Air Selangor is working to solve the air lock issue and will start to distribute water supply in stages once the water level at the reservoir has been stabilised.
The water supply in all areas is expected to fully recover at 12:00 am, 21 November 2021. The duration of the water supply disruption and recovery in the affected areas will vary depending on the distance of consumers’ premises and the water pressure at the distribution system.
Air Selangor will mobilise water tankers to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals, dialysis centres as well as funeral services. Consumers are required to adhere to physical distancing and to wear a face mask at all time while collecting water supply from the water tankers.
Consumers can refer to all our official communication channels, namely the Air Selangor application, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or contact the Air Selangor Contact Centre at 15300 to obtain information on the incident from time to time. Inquiries and complaints can also be submitted to the Help Centre via www.airselangor.com and the Air Selangor application.
