Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) and Monsta Studios Sdn. Bhd (Monsta) today announced the launch of the “Water Conservation with BoBoiBoy Contest” to raise awareness on the importance of water sustainability among young generations.
The contest is open to primary school students aged seven to 12 in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Putrajaya. Through this contest, participants are required to create a creative video lasting two to three minutes that showcases their perspective on water conservation as a step towards addressing climate change for a sustainable future.
Adam Saffian Ghazali, Chief Executive Officer of Air Selangor said, “We hope that through this contest, the younger generation will become more aware of the importance of conserving water resources. By starting this awareness at a young age, we can nurture individuals who are responsible for the care and preservation of water, ensuring that this natural resource is safeguarded for future generations.”
Video submissions must be uploaded to social media platforms Facebook or Instagram using a school or the teacher’s account. Each video must include an engaging caption and the hashtags #AirSelangor, #AirSelangorXBoBoiBoy, and #MisiJimatAirBersamaBoBoiBoy. Students also need to complete an entry form available on the website.
Mohd Nizam Abd Razak, Chief Executive Officer of Monsta shared, “Monsta remains committed to collaborating with Air Selangor in carrying out progressive initiatives through the BoBoiBoy icon to raise awareness about water issues among the public, especially the younger generation, contributing to a more sustainable future.”
The winning video will be featured in a special episode of Air Selangor x BoBoiBoy after the contest concludes on December 3, 2024. Winners will also receive RM15,000 in funding to help make their dream of beautifying their school area or developing a sustainable garden a reality.
