Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to inform on the latest update of recovery status following the temporary shutdown of Labohan Dagang Water Treatment Plant (Labohan Dagang WTP) caused by a power supply disruption due to emergency repair works on electrical equipment at the Olak Lempit Main Substation by TNB.
As of 6:00 pm, the recovery status of the water supply in the affected areas has reached 92.7%. The list of areas which have not recovered is in Appendix A.
The duration of water supply recovery period differs depending on the location of the consumer’s premises and the water pressure at the distribution system. The water supply is expected to be fully restored by 12:00 am, 25 May 2024 (Saturday).
Air Selangor would like to advise consumers who have and will receive their water supply to let the tap runs until the water is clear before using it for daily consumption. Air Selangor hopes that consumers who have received water supply will use their water prudently to ensure that the recovery process in the other affected areas runs smoothly as scheduled.
