Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to inform on the latest update on the water supply recovery following the temporary shutdown of Rantau Panjang, Sungai Selangor Phase 1 (SSP1), Sungai Selangor Phase 2 (SSP2), and Sungai Selangor Phase 3 (SSP3) Water Treatment Plants (WTPs) following an odour pollution incident at Sungai Kundang and Sungai Sembah.
As of 7:30 am today, the water supply recovery in the affected areas has reached 83.5%. The breakdown of the expected time and percentage of water supply recovery by group is as follows:

For Group 1, the water supply for affected areas has fully recovered at 7:30 am, 25 July 2024 (Thursday). For Group 2, the water supply full recovery time is expected to be at 8:00 pm, 25 July 2024 (Thursday), while for Group 3, and the full recovery time is expected to be at 8:00 am, 26 July 2024 (Friday). The list of areas that have not recovered is as listed in Appendix A.
For your information, the duration of this water supply disruption and recovery in the affected areas will vary depending on the location of the consumers’ premises and the water pressure at the distribution system.
Air Selangor would like to advise consumers who have and will receive their water supply to let the tap flow until it is clear before using. Air Selangor hopes that consumers who have received water supply will use water prudently to ensure that the recovery process in the affected areas runs smoothly.
Air Selangor will continue mobilising water tankers to critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres and funeral service centres. Alternative water supply assistance has also been provided at 16 local service centres listed in Appendix B.
For commercial customers, the purchase of water supply can be made at Air Selangor’s customer service counters at Sepang and Hulu Langat region. Commercial customers can use their respective water tankers at two (2) local water filling stations that will be opened at Braemar Estate (Hulu Langat region), and Taman Gemilang Dengkil (Sepang region).
