Status Update On The Unscheduled Water Supply Disruption Following The Burst Pipe Incident Near the Ampang Point Flyover, Jalan Ampang

Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to inform that the emergency repair works for the burst pipe incident near the Ampang Point Flyover, Jalan Ampang is currently on-going. As of 6.00 pm today, the repair works stood at 70 percent. The repair works are expected to be fully completed at 10:00 pm tonight and water supply will be distributed in stages to the affected areas. As the repair works are expected to be completed earlier than scheduled, the water supply is expected to be fully restored at 10.00 pm, 26 September 2021, much earlier than what was announced previously. The list of the 41 affected areas in the Gombak Region is as Appendix A.

Alternative water supply assistance through water tankers will continue to be mobilised in the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals, dialysis centres and funerals. Consumers are required to adhere to physical distancing and to wear face masks while collecting water supply from the water tankers
