STATUS UPDATE ON THE WATER SUPPLY RECOVERY IN THE PETALING, KLANG AND SHAH ALAM REGIONS

Kuala Lumpur – Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to update on the status of the scheduled water disruption in the Petaling, Klang and Shah Alam regions following the new pipe diversion and connection works nearby the Carlsberg brewery at Persiaran Selangor Seksyen 15, Shah Alam on 30 March 2021.

As at 6:00 pm today, full recovery has been achieved in 26% of the areas, which is equivalent to 8 out of the total of 31 areas affected by the scheduled water supply disruption. However, 73% of the affected consumers’ accounts in the Petaling, Klang and Shah Alam Regions have already received their water supply.

The duration of the disruption and the water supply recovery of the affected areas differ according to the distance of consumers’ premises and the water pressure at the distribution system.

Air Selangor hopes that consumers who have received their water supply will use water prudently to allow the recovery process in the other affected areas to run smoothly as scheduled.
